This investment signifies Gulf Oil’s commitment to advancing the EV mobility value chain, following its previous investment in the UK-based EV smart chargers manufacturer Indra Renewables. Gulf Chargers, launched in collaboration with Indra Renewables, has made strides in the UK and global markets, including India.
Sumit Ahuja, Co-Founder of ElectreeFi, underscored the growing momentum behind battery swapping technology, particularly among two and three-wheeler OEMs. He cited the recent announcement of a battery swapping policy in the Union Budget for 2022-23 as a significant catalyst for the industry. ElectreeFi’s Battery Swapping Platform has already undergone successful pilot testing with a leading EV infrastructure provider, paving the way for a nationwide network of Battery Swapping Stations.
